things you never wanted to know about...so you thought...

deejay m. pizzle

before i die i want to be able to deejay something.  i think i could pick out an excellent song selection to rotate.  others always have a comment about the songs i like, but i think people really do enjoy my randomness of songs i enjoy.  i could come up with a solid 3 hour playlist that could get a party going...i feel confident of that.  and if i were to be on the radio, i could tell some spectacular stories in between songs.  i have no doubt i would be invited back the following week after they got the listeners response.  i'm going to have to find a way to make this happen.

i think my song choices would be different because i haven't forgotten about the good songs that were good jams back in the day.  i'd play the songs that make you want to dance as well as the ones that make you want to sing at the top of your lungs.

on a sidenote i feel like God has been showing me a lot lately about how to trust Him and His will for my life.  but somehow I still find a way to doubt hHis timing.  i'm going to learn one of these days.  i'm grateful for the lessons He's really shown me as of late, and am hopeful that i will continue to seek Him and what he has in store for me.

til next time,
deejay m. pizzle
only name that came to my head..i'll need to rethink the name before i actually go on air.

bored bored bored

i'm drinking beer and listening to pti on epsn.  thought it was time i write a new blog...not sure what i'll write about.  antonio gates just said the guy the media wants you to think philip rivers is..he's not.  i already knew that.  i hope others out there heard what he had to say.

i'm so ready to start school back.  i don't think i could ever be a stay at home mom...props to those who could be.  i have been absolutely bored out of my mind sitting at home waiting for the days to pass.  i know in about two weeks..or maybe even two hours...into being back into the swing of things i'll regret that i ever thought i was bored.  but dagonit i'm freaking bored.  i tried to think of a hobby to start..but couldn't come up with one, and i won't need one at all once school starts.  maybe i should have written blogs..but i wouldn't have had anything to write about.  i went shopping today (that should tell you how bored i am...i hate shopping).  i found my lotion that i love from victoria's secret marked 75% off.  awesome!  sadly they only had one left or else i would have bought much more.  now i'll be smelling sexy for when i go out on dates...oh wait.

i've only gained 7 pounds on my break from school....awesome.  not good...time to quit eating and get off the couch.

going to charlottesville with some of the girls this weekend to see julie.  i think it's going to be a lot of fun and i just hope i keep breathing throughout the whole weekend.  i'll blog about it when i return.

until then,
little melissa

corn dogs

today for lunch i had a corn dog.  (is that one word or two words?)  i've never bought a corn dog before in my life.  i've had less than 5 corn dogs in my life, and i ate them only because that's probably all there was for me to eat at the time.  well i made a decision to eat a corn dog today because 1) it wouldn't be messy 2) it would be easy to carry back to the office and 3) i just thought..hey, why not try a corn dog.

i'm glad i did.  it was really really good.  i'll start adding the possibility of a corn dog to the list of potential things for melissa to eat in the duke cafeteria.  most days my lunch consist of peanut m&ms because of their nutritional ingredients and also because lack of a "lunch... and more like scarf anything down in your throat in 2.6 seconds and get back to making a difference in people's lives...break".

i really don't know why i decided to keep a blog again...but i'll do my best to provide you with some earth shattering insight into my life.

i challenge you to try a corn dog this week.  i think you'll be pleased with your decision...i was.

the end

it was brought to my attention today that i need to be careful what i put on my blog, because i never know who might be reading this.  well...my whole purpose for doing this to begin with would be so i would not feel like i had to censor my thoughts no matter how lame, stupid, or personal they may be.  so with that said....i will just put an end to this blog.  for people who apparently don't really know me, they may take things in this blog out of context and there is no point in that.  i've enjoyed the ride while it lasted and appreciated the feedback i got from so many people.

signing off,
melissa

fire ants, PTSD, and red hot dogs.

it's been a while since i wrote that lame blog.  and by been a while i mean in my typical blogging timeline.  couple of random thoughts....

fire ants are very small creatures that can do a lot of damage.  i don't like not being able to sleep at night because my feet are itching and i can't resist the urge to scratch them.  (side note:  i used to always get the words itch and scratch mixed up, and maybe still do if i don't think about it before i say it.  i used to ask people to itch my back.  nobody has ever confused me with einstein.)  need to google how to get rid of fire ant bites real soon while i still have skin left on my feet.

it was great to hear today in my class that even my professor thinks these classes can be a bit much on the human psyche.  that was all i needed to hear, so that i knew at least one other person was feeling what i was feeling.  the thing that makes it worse for me is that after sitting in 3 classes like that i get to drive back to raleigh and have plenty of time to reflect on things like PTSD and the affects it has on the brain and is there a way to reverse what damage has already been done, or the 16 year old who has already slept with 80 people and sold herself for drugs and her reality of normalcy from today and for the rest of her life.  hours of discussions like that need to be ended with a round of beers and everyone not thinking about it at all.  but that's not possible for me because i have to drive back to raleigh.  just relieved to know others feel the burden of those conversations and the impact they can have on someone, even the professor who is also a therapist with years of experience.  that helps ease my anxiety over it.

cowboy boot time is getting near.  the weather is getting closer and closer to a comfortable temp. for wearing cowboy boots.  yes sir!  and also this weather makes me want to go to a very scary haunted house and drink hot chocolate and then go cuddle with a cute boy.

i don't have a favorite season.  i like them all and anticipate the arrival of each new season.  i do have a favorite holiday though.  least favorite is new year's.  too much build up for no reason.  i can do that all by myself every day of my life.  no fun to build something up only to always be let down.  nothing happens at 12 except the second hand moves on the clock.  next least favorite is valentine's day...for every reason you've ever heard someone say why they don't like it.  favorite holiday would be christmas for so many reasons, and then thanksgiving for so many reasons that are along the same lines of christmas, and then july 4th.  july 4th is one of the most underrated holidays there is.  i like the camaraderie that i feel everyone else is feeling.  good day to serve as a reminder of what great things we do have.  plus red hot dogs and the beach and fireworks.  three very awesome things.

that's enough for now....need to go watch Oprah.

September 27, 2008

not the coolest 5th grader

i was sitting beside someone on the bus the other day when i was leaving duke and they had a magazine with hulk hogan's family on the front.  my first thought was they were looking at a wrestling magazine and it reminded me that i used to read those.  and i used to collect wrestling cards.  i remember exchanging cards with one of the boys in my 5th grade class.  apparently i was a total loser.  which then reminded me that i used to be totally obsessed with bookbags.  i was always coming home with a new bookbag that i had traded with someone in school.  how weird.

on the subject matter of wrestling....the younger grandchildren (T$, me, pj, and bennett) all wanted to watch wresting during sunday lunch at grandma's.  the older grandchildren all made fun of us for watching wrestling.  so there was always a race to the remote control to see who got to determine what we watched that day.

on thursday i saw 3 different people that started crying as soon as i walked into the room to talk to them.  i think it was the weather that made everyone feel a little bit worse that day.  the following day i was looking for my keys so i could leave to go to duke.  i found them still in the door.  i had my door locked from the inside with the chain pulled, but i had left my keys in the door.  i'm an idiot.

i understand if you cry reading this blog....it is pretty terrible.

September 23, 2008

o holy night

that's my favorite christmas song.  last night before bed i was daydreaming about decorating my christmas tree and apartment.  i think the weather made me think of it.  i absolutely love decorating my christmas tree and the two christmas trees at my parents house.  put on some christmas tunes, make some hot chocolate, and start the decorating.

this year i will find a way to get electricity to the outside of my apartment so that i can decorate the outside.  when i get older and have my own house that i own, i will be the house in the neighborhood that people drive out of their way to look at its decorations.  not tacky decorations...beautiful.

the ladies in my family are usually the first people to have their christmas decorations up.  the only reason i don't put them up sooner is because i don't want people talking about me too much.  after i put up all the decorations...i'll probably just sit on the couch for hours and admire it.

tradition at my house is that my sister, mom and myself go out to find the live christmas tree we are going to get while dad sits at home wondering why he hasn't learned the lesson just to go with us, so we don't pick out a christmas tree twice the size of  what we need.  dad always reminds us our ceilings are 8 ft. and they've always been 8 feet.  he doesn't understand why we come back with trees that are obviously too tall for 8 ft. ceilings.  he complains and complains some more until he sees the final project and then he always talks about how pretty it is and how good of a job we (really mom) did with the tree.  christmas wouldn't be the same if he didn't give us a spill about the ceilings in our house.

at this moment i could shed tears of joy and get giddy just thinking about decorating for christmas.

dashing through the snow....

flat tire, need husband

i got in my car to go to wilson on sunday morning, and got about a block away and heard a noise. i pulled my car over and saw that i had a flat tire.  my first one ever.  i drove back to my house and parked the car and called my dad (didn't really have a voice, so he only heard every other word kinda sorta).

my sister and i had to be in wilson by 12, so she had to drive us.  she was nice enough to let me have her car for a few days while i'm in greenville.  she's even nicer for her willingness to wait an hour for the AAA guy to come.  and even more nicer than that because she took my car to the car shop to get the old tire fixed.  real good sister i have.

what i learned from all of this is .....i need a husband.  i need him for times when my tire goes flat and he'll know how to change it and all i will have to do is tell him it's flat and keep his beer full as he is changing it.  also, he could be very useful at killing bugs and loosening up lids that are too tight for me to open.  i fully support all gender roles that have been thrown onto me as a woman.  i squeal when i see a bug and then give myself a pep talk about killing it.  sometimes the pep talk works and sometimes it doesn't.

i'll be willing to cut the grass as long as he does the yard work that involves potentially living places for creatures.  i don't do creatures.  and if a snake is ever found in the yard, the house will be put on the market that afternoon.

in conclusion, i need a husband most importantly for taking care of the manly stuff around the house.  my dad shouldn't have to drive to raleigh every time i need something (he already saved me one time in greenville) and my girlfriends shouldn't have to lend me their significant others in my time of need.  i learned this lesson in greenville once, and i was reminded of it again on sunday.  must look for husband quickly!  if we happen to love one another that will be a plus, but really at this point...having some one to take care of things like changing tires might be more important.

sexy man voice and blogging

today i had the experience of kinda sorta knowing what it would be like if you couldn't talk.  basically it would suck!  while having dinner with my parents i tried so many times to say something and nothing would come out.  and when i was able to talk...it sounded so terribly raspy.

that's what happens when you do your part as a fan at a football game.  i literally woke up this morning and really felt like i should go join the football team on whatever it is they do after games so they aren't sore.  i thought for sure i was going to have some kind of bruising all over my arms and back because they were so sore.

on the way to the game yesterday i told my parents we would win.  and we did.  really was a great game to watch.  i was just thrilled that a) we were able to do the first down chant at least once during the game and b) we were able to celebrate a touchdown.  turns out we were also able to celebrate a victory and watch lines of ecu fans file out of the stadium sad and claim "it's just a game anyway".  yea okay buddy, whatever you say.

i enjoyed seeing ecu fans wearing t-shirts they had made that said "you came in ranked, but you left spanked"  after their victories over wv and vt.  might want to hold off a little on wearing that shirt next time.  i asked one person how that saying on his shirt felt.  my apologies mom, she would not be proud that i did that.  my sister would though. (spell check says ecu is not a word, so i tried ezu just in case)  no more talk of that game, and actually i wouldn't be able to talk about it anyways since i have no voice.

except for this one last thought that has more to do with me and a little to do with the game.  i was surprised at how many people thought i would struggle with who to pull for in this game.  i can honestly say the thought never crossed my mind.  i'm absolute wolfpack to the core.  that's my only team i'd be sore for the next day.  unless bennett was playing a game.

just this weekend i have been told my blog made someone cry, made someone depressed, made others laugh, and my blog has been discussed at the dinner table.  so i shall keep on keeping on...mainly just to make people really depressed.

my apologies to rob who took offense to me talking about people who have weddings during football season on my blog.  had a great time at your wedding if that makes you feel any better.

and people said i needed to add pictures...so here ya go....(for whatever reason the picture goes to the top, so you've already seen it)

red and white from state

the quickest way to become unproductive is to search nc state football on youtube.  easily just killed an hour watching stuff about state football.  some of the best moments in my life are being in carter-finley celebrating after a touchdown with my family and friends.  maybe it's because those moments are more rare than i would like them to be.

also, i really enjoy having a good defense as opposed to a flashy offense.  having a good defense allows the fans to really get into the game and scream and yell and get massive headaches because we are losing too much oxygen.

i love that it is that time of the year where on sunday, monday, and tuesday i will sound like a man because i've lost my voice.

we were at a wedding for the first home game.  it should also be a law that no weddings be allowed during football season (unless you are jimmie and priscilla and have God on your side and your wedding date just so happened to fall on the bye week).  this weekend will be our first game we get to attend this year...i wasn't really pumped, just because i have so much going on this weekend.  i'm now officially pumped.  being an nc state alum and fan is one of the greatest decisions i've made in my life.  it builds character.

GO STATE!

i also relived the marist game in reynolds on youtube.  everything about that was pure craziness.

friends

these are my friends at the beginning of the night.  stephanie wasn't feeling well at the beginning of the night and wasn't sure if she'd be able to hang.  after one jager bomb she was cured.  i look forward to the night that we go out and say lets only have one jager bomb and stick with that.  i doubt that will ever happen.

my sister holding my two beers.  why i have two i don't know.  and why she is holding them.  i don't know.

this morning i woke up and my camera was out.  i thought that was weird so i started to look at the pictures and the last one taken was this....

i quickly decided i had to get home last night and jumped in a cab while everyone stayed out.  well i guess when i got home i called all of them more than once and was talking some mumble jumble.  well they decided they needed to come check on me...and this is how they found me.  why i'm on the couch i have no idea.  that is a cold washcloth i had put on my head.  they brought me hotdogs which i later found during the day in my refrigerator.  such good friends i have.

September 13, 2008

not sad but not happy me

a couple of thoughts:

i was going to end my blog.  but people mentioned reading my blog so i decided if people were reading, then i will still write nonsense on this thing.

kickoff next weekend is at 12 o'clock.  that should be illegal, and hold a stiff punishment for whoever made such a dumb decision.

last two weekends i have had people that are close to me call me out on my character, for lack of a better word.  it hurts and and i guess i should try to change myself...but i have no idea how to be anyone other than me.  both the good and bad.  i'm not perfect..i'm just me.  guess i'll still give it a shot at making a conscious effort to make myself better....even if that means sitting in the house and doing nothing cause that's really the only thing i can think of doing.

i talk.  it's not some new thing i've just learned.  probably talk too much some times and too loud.  for some people i talk too slow.  for some people they probably hear too much of what is going on in my head, and not enough silence.  i do try to be aware a lot of times if i think someone is getting sick of hearing me, and even when i question that i still continue to talk.  i'm not really clued in to what others might think of me.  if i spent my life doing that, i'd be way too concerned with being the person others want me to be.

i just chose a movie on my tv on tnt on demand.  is that free or will a charge show up on my cable bill?  if it's free...then that is pretty cool.  i'll let you know when the bill comes.

not really a good blog.  my heart has been made heavy and reading all this psychological stuff for school has made me more in tune with my inner self.  i don't like it one bit.

September 10, 2008

favorite day

every other wednesday is now my new favorite day.  that is my "light work" day at duke.  today i got to sit in an office and do school work for at least half the day.  the other half i attended a talk on the postpartum support group that my supervisor co-facilitates and the other part i made sure we had all the stuff we needed before my supervisor left for 10 days.  (hope the clinic is still running when he returns.)

on your "light work" day you wear a pager in case you are needed.  at one point today i had on two pagers (mine and my supervisors).  if someone saw me walking around, they might possibly think i knew what i was doing.  people who wear pagers have important information that other people might need in an instant.  (that's the purpose of pagers, correct?)  i have none of that information, but if a page would have been sent to me i'd of given it my best shot to find out the information that was needed.

hopefully every other wednesday won't be too hectic and i can really take that time to get some of 546,765 pages of material i am supposed to have read every week for school.

i never intended for this blog to be so much about my internship and school stuff...but when that's all you do, i guess that's all you can write about.  maybe i'll have good things to write about after making memories this weekend.

September 9, 2008

option #3

in the first blog i wrote i gave you three options of what types of blogs i would be writing.  this will be one of the rare option #3s.

a couple of sidenotes:

i listened to delilah on the ride back to raleigh...i'm hoping that in no way affected what it is i'm about to write.

this has nothing to do with the wedding i attended this weekend.

while driving to greenville this morning, for whatever reason this became clear to me on my drive there.  it was affirmed for me through discussions had in class today.

for some of you who have known me a while you will know that my freshman year of college was a tough experience that i never could have imagined playing out the way it did.  for those who don't know...i lost 2 people very dear to me within roughly a 3 day period.  one chose to walk out of my life and the other i believe God chose to call home.

struggling with those two totally different loses at such a pivotal point in my life was a challenge i never anticipated on having to deal with, nor did i have any way of even knowing how to deal with it.  both would have been the one i would have gone to, to talk about the situation involving the other.  this led to months of severe depression, diagnosed only by me (and maybe others who saw it but never told me) and only well after the fact.  i knew i couldn't get out of the bed...i couldn't tell you why.

i believe in the saying ..it is better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all.  i believed it in before those losses and i believe in it kinda sorta now.  to know the pain i felt and the absolute dark place i was in and knowing no way out...i can't say that love is worth ever having to experience that again.  what i do know is...i got out of that place, only by my relationship with God and him placing me where I needed to be.

i say all this to say...that i think for years since that horrible time in my life i have never allowed myself to experience another relationship.  through what ever coping mechanisms i chose, and in some ways still choose, helped with making it easier to not allow myself to be available to anyone.  knowing i couldn't be available for anyone to care for ...just made life easier.  i never had to even have the possibility of experiencing those extremely painful times again.

when i met with my supervisor the first time at my placement he asked about how i came to social work.  i told him my story...and when i got to the part of these events happening in my life my freshman year of college..i could have cried right there in front of this stranger about it (seven years later).  why would emotions still be that raw that one question could get that kind of response?  that let me know that in some ways i still hadn't dealt with what it is i had gone through.

i think through transformations i've made in my life recently and shedding some of those protective barriers, i am now able to readily make myself available to be loved and to love someone else just as much.   human touch and relationships are necessities to survival and something that in so many ways i have starved myself of for the past years.  all because of my need to not feel close to anyone for fear of having to deal with that loss all over again.  nothing would have been worth it.

i'm in a good place in my life right now...actually probably the best place i've ever been...and not to say those were all bad places before, but i am just more aware now of choices i was making in my life to keep myself at a distance from ever being hurt again.  and maybe i needed that distance then, but eventually i have to not live in fear of being hurt or experiencing loss.

life doesn't promise hurt.  it does promise to make you stronger, if you allow it.   whether that be 10 days or 10 years later.

this blog might make absolutely no sense to you...and that is fine.  you'll get whatever is intended for you to get out of it.

lastly, i feel if i told this to delilah she would then proceed to probably play a song like the electric slide.  only because it has absolutely nothing to do with the story that is just told to her.  you can always count on her to come through with a song selection that is so out of left field.

September 8, 2008

republican social worker

i bought a size 6 pant today.  was it marked wrong...probably so.  does it matter?  not at all.  if you look at the tag when i'm wearing the pants it will say size 6, which means i will be wearing a size 6.  good stuff.

i used to live my life through a calendar.  everything i did had to be written in a calendar.  well since school has started this semester i've been too lazy to go get one.  today i think i decided my stress level has been decreased so much this semester, and i think it is because i do not have a calendar to go check and be overwhelmed with.  i'm going to try to go calendar-less until i miss my first assignment.  if i miss an assignment, then i'll go buy one and let my stress level rise.  as for my social calendar, i just depend on my sister to tell me what events i have to attend on the weekend.  she's pretty good about getting me to where i need to be.  i think every weekend is booked from here until at least november.  but i don't know that for sure because i don't have a calendar...therefore i really can't get stressed over it.

i just looked out the window and saw emily, the next door neighbor dog.  she looked at me and took off running towards the house.  i'm going to, with my whole heart, believe she saw me sitting inside at the table and got really excited to see me.  i would write more, but i have to go play with the dog outside.

one more quick thing.  in class today there was discussion on whether we could have republican social workers?  really!?!?  i had hopes that people weren't that stupid.  maybe i was wrong.  maybe the government should be even smaller and you people go fend all for yourself.  and stop referring to mortgage companies as the ones who are responsible for the housing crisis.  no one made you do anything other than yourself.  personal responsibility is a lost cause in this country...and i'm going to bring it back.

til next time.....

a future republican social worker who will be just as effective.  promise.

my weekend. amen.

went to rob and jo's wedding this weekend.  heard a lot of amens.  amen.  had a few beers.  and then a few more.  amen.  stayed at a beach house that had huge flat screen tvs in every room.  i enjoyed that.  the biggest tv i have ever seen was at this house. amen.   took some pictures (not of the tvs, but at the reception).  once again i became that person with the camera.  i don't like people thinking that about me, but i'd rather have the pictures.  amen.  i'm glad football is back on, and i've already gotten the most points in my fantasy league with still 3 players left to play.  thank you michael turner.  amen.  was thrilled to be able to ride in the passenger seat of a car today. feels like it's been a while since i've sat on that side of the car...i slept most of the whole ride back.  amen.

topics i will probably discuss later in my blog will be about moments in my life (good and bad) and flossing.

September 3, 2008

if i could change one thing about me.

i'm waiting on a phone call, so i decided i would write another blog.  3 blogs on the first day...it will not stay at this pace.  if it does...i clearly will need to get a life.

if someone were to ask me if i could change one thing about myself i would struggle between two options.  1)  not being allergic to dogs 2) having God have made me with bigger boobs.  (a little awkward if my dad is reading this...if this is dad, hello!)

until you have had an allergy that prevents you from doing something...i don't think you'll be able to relate to this.  i hate having to always ask people if they have a dog at their house or even if they have had one in say the past month there.  most people have dogs so it just makes it a huge inconvenience.  i have to leave thanksgiving dinner early and christmas breakfast; i can only go to certain friends' houses; never get to stay with kelly or go visit fox.  my children will never be able to have a dog, nor will my sister (if she wants me to visit and if she gets a dog i'll get the hint), and nor will my parents (who dad desperately deserves to have his dream of having an english bulldog).  i could probably deal with this if it was just itchy eyes and a few sneezes...it's the whole can't breathe that becomes a problem.  breathing is important to survival as is food and water, in case you didn't know.

now to the bigger boobs.  i would never have cosmetic surgery to fix this...i just wish God had made me that way.  God probably knows that I would be a different person and wouldn't be able to handle it ...so I'm positive he knew what he was doing.  i've always wanted bigger boobs but can't really give you a reason why, just one of those things.  i'm sure other girls can understand this...and probably others think i'm crazy and i should appreciate not having huge cans that are nothing but a pain that cause lots of aches and pains.

so if i had to really really choose i guess i'd go with option 1, but i would give it a lot of thought.  kids deserve to be able to have dogs if they want...my kids will have a lot of fishes i guess.  how exciting!

unexpected surprises

Only because my wonderful supervisor let me leave early today is this blog being created.  If I had worked the whole day my eyes would have been closed before I even walked into my apartment door.  For those who do not know I am spending 3 days a week at Duke Hospital for my graduate school internship.  The other two days I am in Greenville for classes and the rest of my time is spent in a car driving to all these places with a few stops in Wilson and Raleigh.

Today we had our social work intern breakfast/orientation and it was really good.  I enjoyed getting to meet other interns (I am the only from ECU) and listening to the supervisors speak.  Everything at Duke is impressive (get over it Carolina fans) and the way they treat their interns is even more impressive.  Just the campus by itself is impressive.  The opportunities I am going to have at Duke are going to be plentiful and probably some will be once in a lifetime opportunities.  I hope I take advantage of them, and I feel like I will.  If not, someone slap me later.

I have already been at Duke for two weeks and for most of the interns they were just coming in today.  My supervisor, Bill who also happens to be the supervisor over the supervisors who have interns, was spending time with the two other interns he will have today to get to know them better.  Since I've already had two weeks of one on one time with him, he told me I could leave.  I can't tell you the last time I've ever been that excited on the inside but still trying to contain my excitement on the outside.  Completely not expecting to hear that, but it was exactly what I needed to hear.

My internship exhaust me, the amount of reading and school work that has to be completed is whatever word is worse than exhaustion.  Therefore my supervisor allowing me to leave has given me an afternoon to allow me to get this work done.  I am going to go do that now....I'm sure you'll hear more about this internship as the year progresses.

Happy Wednesday to you!

My very first blog

I was talking to my friend Hova the other day and we were discussing her blog when I got the bright idea that I might need a blog.  I, Melissa Phillips, have a lot of random thoughts that pop up in my head and normally they are quickly told to whoever is around me at the time.  Well since I do have moments that I am by myself, it is now here that I will come to let everyone know about these potentially world-changing thoughts that I have.

Here are a few things you need to know when reading this blog:

**I am a terrible writer, and fear people will think I am dumb once they see a grammatical error.  There will be many of those errors made here.

**I have no clue how to use a comma correctly.  I'm thinking I was not paying attention in class the day the teacher taught us about commas, but I just guess where I think they go and then place them there.  Please don't think I am completely stupid...just a little stupid.

**This blog will contain some stupid stuff, some stuff I feel is important, and if you are lucky maybe even some information that I may hold close to my heart.  More than likely it will be a whole lot of option 1 and some of option 2.

**I have zero time in my life at the moment to write a blog, but hopefully I will still take the time to post things.

To my family, friends, and stalkers....enjoy my blog!  I'm sure most will find your name in here at some point.

P.S.  If by chance I become Michael Phelps' girlfriend please someone come and make my blog private so the media doesn't see this.
